Edo Elections: Nothing stops us from going to court – Ize-Iyamu
Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 19 governorship election in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has debunked rumours suggesting his party may not challenge the outcomes of the elections in court.
He insisted that he and his party are at will not be hindered from pursuing any possible legal option they consider necessary as long as long as it remains within the remit of the law.
The APC candidate made this disclosure in his Independence Anniversary pres release.
He added that the party is in the process of collecting all the needed facts to enable a well rounded legal process in “in the best tradition of rule of law, fairness to all and due process”.
He said the party understands the sensitivities of the people and are taking the time to collect and organize as much data as possible and relevant to the prosecution of the case in court.
The press release alluded to the fact that many persons have approached the party and APC candidate to jettison the idea of going to court but the decision of the party will be made known to the public in due time.
