Come Let’s build Edo together, Obaseki appeals to Oshiomhole and Ize-Iyamu
The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has appealed to his former benefactor, Adams Oshiomhole, and candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) his main opponent in last Saturday’s governorship election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
Governor Obaseki has asked the two APC party chieftains to come work with his nee government to develop the Edo state.
He added that the fight was over already and its time to come together to build the state.
The Governor formally sent his appreciation to the Benin Monarch, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, for the outstanding role he played to guarantee that the election happened peacefully and without the much dreaded violence and disruption of social life. He thanked God as well for allowing the process to go as smoothly as it did.
He received his certificate of return from the INEC National Commissioner in charge of Edo, Bayelsa and Rivers states, Mrs May Agbamuche-Mbu.
