Ebonyi River Tragedy: Buhari sends condolence message to the people of Ebonyi
The President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Saturday, sent condolence message to families of the victims of the motor accident on Akaeze-Ukwu River in Ebonyi State that claimed many lives on Friday night.
The condolence message was delivered via a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, titled “President Buhari sympathises with Ebonyi State following Akaeze-Ukwu River tragedy”.
In the statement, Buhari extended his condolences to the State over the river accident.
“We are saddened and aggrieved at this colossal loss of human lives,” the statement quoted the President as saying.
Buhari reminded the people of the state that the good wishes and prayers of the government and people of Nigeria are with the families of the victims of this accident.
