U.S. Visa ban: Federal Government and the U.S. in a meeting
The Federal Government and the United States are currently in a meeting over the recently announced Visa ban on some politically exposed Nigerians.
The meeting is currently being held at the headquarters of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Abuja. The meeting is expected to avail Nigeria the opportunity to brief the US government on measures that have been put in place to address issues on ground
The Federal Government delegation was led by the Permanent Secretary, MFA, Amb. Mustapha Sulaiman, while the American side is headed by the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Leonard.
The meeting was also attended by the Comptroller-General of Immigration, Muhammad Babandede, and senior officials from relevant ministries, departments and agencies.
