Amotekun : we were sidelined in the Amotekun recruitment – Hunters Association
The leadership of the Soludero Hunters, Nureni Ajijolaanobi, has accused the Oyo State Security Network Agency of not carrying the hunters along in the recruitment of prospective corps officials into the security outfit.
Ajijolaanobi, made this announcement during an interview with newsmen in Ibadan on Friday, insisting that Soludero Hunters were ready to be part of Amotekun, but the group was sidelined by those coordinating the recruitment process.
He added that the group has been in the forefront for the defense of Oyo State and the entire South-West even before Amotekun was conceived. He, however, promised that the hunters would not defending the state even if they were sidelined.
Ajijolaanobi said the efforts of the group were parts of what led to a drastic reduction of crimes in the Akinyele Local Government Area of the state.
