Nigerian Troops killed 100 bandits in two months – DHQ
Spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, on Saturday, announced that troops the Operation Sahel Sanity in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State have killed 100 alleged bandits in two months of operation.
The Nigerian Army announced they had arrested 148 suspected bandits, 315 illegal miners, 32 alleged logistics suppliers of bandits and 13 rustled cattle marketers during the period.
The development was made public by the acting Director, Defence Media Operations, Brig.-Gen. Benard Onyeuko, at a press conference in Faskari on Saturday.
The troops were said to have rescued 107 kidnapped victims, 3,984 cows, 1,627 sheep and rams, as well as three camels during the period.
The troops also seized several arms and ammunitions from the bandits.
