Police Recruitment: 15,000 Applicants Jostle for 140 Slots In Gombe
Gombe State Deputy Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Adamu, has stated that no fewer than 15,000 applicants are to be screened for the ongoing 140 police recruitment slots given to the state.
The DCP said while speaking to newsmen at the ongoing screening exercise in Gombe that something about 15,000 job seekers are shortlisted for just the 140 Slots available.
Adamu, said only applicants with basic five credit in Ordinary level subjects, including English and Mathematics among other conditions were considered for screening.
He further revealed that 10,000 individuals are meant to be recruited across the 774 local governments in the country.
The Deputy Commissioner, however, lamented poor internet network, noting that he and his men were overwhelmed by the large turnout for the exercise.
The recruitment exercise started on Monday with Akko Local Government Area at the police officer’s mess, Gombe, and would end on September 6, 2020.
