Rivers Governor Charges PDP to Make Life Unbearable for APC
The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has charged the state leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Amb. Desmond Akawor, to make it difficult for All Progressives Congress (APC) to survive in the state.
Wike speaking when Akawor led the state executive committee members to present the party’s action plan to him in his office in the Government House, Port Harcourt, Wike urged the committee to show more love to the party by being loyal and committed.
He endorsed the action plan of the party and urged them to do their best in consolidating the gains of the party in the state insisting the APC had nothing to offer Rivers people.
The governor pleaded with the committee to work cooperatively with the chairman and be united. He added that he is going to work together to draw up a plan that will make the party more affective.
He also urged the committee to dissociate from attending meeting on who will become Governor after him because he still have three years to used in office and that should be the focus for the time being so as not to give any room for the opposition party to have any hope of surviving in the state.
