Ondo Deputy Governor Vows To Retain Seat As He Defects To PDP
The Ondo State deputy governor , Mr Agboola Ajayi on who just defected from All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said his defection cannot stop him from being the state deputy governor.
Ajayi said this while speaking to newsmen after officially taken membership form of PDP at his Apoi Ward 2 , Ese Odo Local Government Area of the state .
He said he had left the APC officially, however he still remain the deputy governor of the state , adding that he would not resign his position.
The newly defected PDP member said that his people that voted for me did not ask me him resign , so he cannot step down from the post of deputy governor.
Ajayi had been reported to be restrained from going out of the government house in Alagbaka , Akure , the state capital , by the state Police Commissioner, Mr Bolaji Salami , and his team and after been allowed to move out, he reacted by tendering his resignation letter to the APC at his ward level.
