EDO: 'Obaseki Yet To Pick Our Ticket' PDP Confirms
Edo State Peoples Democratic Party has said that Governor Godwin Obaseki who is rumoured to have left his party, All Progressives Congress (APC) is yet registered as a PDP member to contest the party’s governorship primary.
This was said by the party’s state chairman, Tony Azegbemin.
The Chairman said the clarification became necessary following media reports that the governor had joined the party.
He called the news saying that the governor has joined the party a baseless news, he however said if that eventually happens, the party will accept Obaseki warmly.
He also disclosed that he was not surprised at happenings in the state chapter of the APC, noting that the PDP would take advantage of it.
Obaseki was on Friday disqualified by the APC screening committee from contesting the primary election slated for June 22.
APC appeal committee insists on Obaseki disqualification.
