Sex Trafficker Suspect Offers Police N2Millon To Halt Investigation
One John Gripin has found himself in police net for offering a bribe of N200, 000, 000 to police detectives to stop an investigation.
Federal Capital Teritory Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma disclosed this during a press briefing in Abuja that the 47-year-old man suspect offered the money to officers handling a child trafficking case which involves him.
The CP said the suspect was arrested by the command’s Anti-One Chance Unit which was investigating a reported case of child trafficking.
He said the officers, after collecting the money, registered it among exhibits recovered from the suspect.
He as well said officers from the command dislodged the hideout of some kidnappers and arrested them, adding that various kinds of sophisticated arms and operational vehicles were recovered.
CP Bala concluded that the police have successfully arrested some suspects for incest and other criminal offenses and commends FCT residents for their continuous support to the police.
