COVID-19: recoveries rise to 17 in Oyo State

Oyo State now has 17 discharged patients from the COVID-19

The state recently discharged three more patients on Tuesday following their recovery from the corona virus.

This disclosure was made by Governor Seyi Makinde, via his verified Twitter handle, on Tuesday night. He added that the discharged patients had tested negative twice for the virus upon treatment isolation centres in Oyo State.

He wrote, “Three COVID-19 patients have received their second negative test results and have been discharged. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 17.

“Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for two suspected cases came back positive. One case in Ibadan North and one case in Ibadan North West. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State as at 8pm today is 67.”

The governor encouraged members of the public to report cases they suspect to be the virus or travellers from other states by calling the emergency lines stated on his Twitter handle and those listed on social media accounts and website of the state Health Ministry.
