Traditional ruler abducted in Nasarawa – Police
The Commissioner for Police in Nasarawa State has confirmed the abduction of a Second-class traditional ruler in the state.
The the “Aron Akye” of Ugah, Abdullahi Magaji, of Nasarawa State was abducted from Ugah village near Lafia at about 7.30 p.m. on Thursday. It is not clear if he was observing the social distancing rule of the Federal Government of Nigeria when he was abducted.
Commissioner of Police (CP) in the state, confirmed the incidence while addressing a group of journalists in Lafia, the state capital of the state. There were information from family members indicating that the kidnappers have asked for a ransom of N50 million.
Eye-witnesses reported that the gun men who abducted the traditional ruler came in great numbers in motor cycles and stormed the residence of the of the traditional ruler. As at the time of reporting, it was not clear if the incidence has casualties.
